Whether in the making or repairing of clocks and watches, it is not uncommon to have to drill a hole. The hand operated twist drill below, although seemingly cumbersome, can take to the task well in the trained hands of a skilled craftsman. Used in conjunction with a bushing set, it could easily be used to re-bush worn-out clockwork. Smaller versions of this tool are equally suited to similar tasks in watchmaking and repair.
