Glossary/Watch Paper
Watch Paper
Watch papers are printed or otherwise decorated pieces of paper (typically round) that were placed in the back of the pair case of a watch to prevent chafing after servicing. Nearly all watchmakers had their own designs, which included pictures of beauties of the time, Equation of Time tables, advertisements, mottoes, poems and so forth.
